Ah, but I saw Obama's speech, and I entirely forgot hers.

I did not see Obama's, only hers. "Not making any decisions tonight", is that better or worse than flip-flopping?

I linked to her speech (text & video) above. The text will show you one thing, but you really need to see and hear how her supporters react to her catch phrases to see that she wasn't doing the Democratic Party any favors.

And her smirking. Honestly, that was the hardest thing for me - she has this attitude that reminds me of Bush, and the idea that she can do no wrong just reminds me of him more and more.

Contrast that with the expression on Obama's face during his speech. He never looked defensive, arrogant, or overly proud.

Yes, and she also trotted out one of his catch phrases, "stay the course"! I couldn't believe it when she said it.

"Class" isn't something I value in the President.

Ability to beat McCain is something I value.

... And those of us who are for McKinney, and dislike the left wing of the Bankspartei on principle?

I don't disparage folks for backing their candidate of choice.

I do wish Americans could get used to (or at least entertain) the idea of judging several candidates at once. I'd love to see an election where four or five viable candidates jostled for the Presidency.

I think a large step to doing that is getting rid of private donations to candidates (especially corporate donations), and instead requiring that all candidates use public funding.
