April, I barely knew ye . . . .
Apr. 27th, 2008 08:06 pmAs may be obvious, I'm still working through NaPoWriMo (hosted by Poetry Free-For-All). Month's end is rapidly approaching, so I don't have much longer to fret over it.
I think, once I'm out of the snare of time constraints, I will try my hand at a couple of forms, the sevenling and the triolet. Both of these are small and appear to be easy to write, but for some reason I am having trouble breaking through them. The triolet seems to trip me up the same way pantoums do.
On the other hand, I have written two Spenserian sonnets this month (falling back on a form I enjoy). They seemed to generate positive feedback, so I'm counting those as successes.
(Someone at PFFA marveled that OSBP found its way into lyric already. I should try to figure out what other controversies I can put into print.)
