This just in.
Mar. 29th, 2007 02:17 pmI'd just gotten settled in for the continuation of Kyle Sampson's testimony in front of the Judiciary Committee, when Sen. Leahy announced that the Republicans had objected to the hearings taking place while the Senate is in session. So, following Senate rules, he recessed the hearing (but did not adjourn).
I don't see how this turns out well for the Republicans, to halt testimony that was being given voluntarily.
The MSNBC article referenced above states that the rule used was "rarely invoked." More here at DailyKos.
