Jun. 6th, 2005 02:49 pmThe boss's 17-year-old son came in this morning and told me how he lost $1200 this weekend. Not wanting to presume anything, I asked if he actually lost it, and he said no, he'd gambled it away.
"Two weeks to make it, and less than two hours to lose it," he said.
I made a noise that indicated I appreciated his plight, but I certainly couldn't empathize.

Jun. 6th, 2005 04:00 pmAfter getting data into Access and keying in additional information, I was finally ready to do a duplicates query. I clicked on the option for that particular Wizard, only to find that it's not installed on my computer and that Office or Access Setup would need to be run again in order to check one thing.
Of course, since we have no IT professionals of our own, this means the project won't be done until probably next week.
Why does everything have to be so damned complicated?
