How wonderful that two address labels are somewhere stuck on a platen inside my printer.

Also, it's a wonderfully ironic thing that I've got Norton AntiVirus notifications telling me that I've got SoBig and other viruses in my Norton AntiVirus files.

[livejournal.com profile] netmouse and I went out to dinner yesterday evening. She asked me what kind of food I wanted, and I was thinking, "Something Asian." She suggested several places, and we decided to go to Pacific Rim in downtown Ann Arbor. The place has a really nice decor, and the host even asked to take our coats. (When we got our menus, I knew things would be a bit pricy, as there were no prices listed.)

birthday love )

So, yeah. Wow. This is much different than my birthday last year (though last year [livejournal.com profile] netmouse and [livejournal.com profile] murphyw were gracious and held a cake party, where we ate three different kinds of cake, listened to Cake, and played games). I'd mentioned to my sister that I was thinking about going out to dinner on Saturday, but I don't think I'll be up for that again for another couple of weeks, at least. :)

Just when I thought the story had fallen out of the news cycle, MSNBC posts an interview of Jeff Gannon by Campbell Brown as one of their top stories.

Here's a great snippet:

Campbell Brown: Were you in that press conference as a plant by the White House?

Gannon: Absolutely not. I mean, look at it, Campbell. If the White House was going to use a plant, wouldn't they pick a better one than me?
