So, two days ago I get home and find a barely legible note about someone who called, presumably about a job. The name of the company was so garbled I had to wait until well after closing to call and listen to the recorded message. Okay, First Investors Corp. What's that about?

So I called back yesterday and was placed into the voicemail for the Recruiting Dept. Okay. Left my info, including my daytime phone.

Got a call this morning from Kim (not the person who originally left the message). They have a time available for an interview. I agree to that. Then she asks, "So, did anyone tell you about the position?" I said, "No; I assume it's for an administrative position?" "No," she said, "it's for a Financial Advisor, someone who helps people plan for college and things." "Okay."

I hang up the phone and immediately mutter, "I'm not qualified for that."

While I was out this afternoon, I came across a hobby shop I'd not noticed before. I stopped in and found out that on Mondays, a generally adult crowd comes in and plays Magic during their lunch hour, starting around 11:30. Considering how close this shop is to my workplace, I don't know if I can pass up such an opportunity.

Apparently the Michigan theatre is having a midnight showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 tonight. I don't suppose anyone would like to join me? Eh? Eh? *pokes [livejournal.com profile] netmouse innocently*

I will never, ever apply at Coca-Cola again. Jumpin Jesus on a pogo stick. Five screens of fill-in information, for an Administrative Assistant position? No thank you; I'll drive through.

Trying to stay connected to LJ at work via a T1 line was impossible. Now at home, using dial-up, things are working fine.

Anyway, chew on what the secrecy czar says.
