MSNBC's breaking banner projects Obama as the winner of the Maine caucuses.

Someone at DailyKos commented in a diary: "Barack is only winning because of the large African-American population, right CNN? Obviously, Maine is a state that he should do well in, demographically speaking. *snicker*"

If there's an upside to this, it's the exposure of all the barely-closeted racism.

Well, it's just interesting that the media isn't reporting that there's been a shift in that demographic's voting behavior, nor the reason(s) why that might be.

At the beginning of this campaign season, the conventional wisdom was that the Clintons had a bank of good will that they'd cultivated with the African-American community.

I think that good will begins and ends with Bill.

Conservatives are flapping their white sheets quietly with Obama but it's getting more and more noticeable.
