Weird thing is, he's the kind of big-money guy the core Republicans should be backing. Why do I feel queasy at the prospect of McCain-Huckabee as a ticket?

I hadn't considered what the Republican ticket would look like on the VP side. I don't think that the conservative elite would approve of the selection, but McCain is known to be a maverick. He will make his own decision.

McCain is going to face an open revolt if he doesn't pick someone like Huckabee for VP.

Which will be beautiful, because if anything he's one of the few choices who makes the McCain ticket LESS palatable.

What about McCain-Cheney?
