Quitting with some money, and alot of class puts him in position to get a good position in the next admin (though i doubt he'll get picked for VP again).
While I'm disappointed to see him out, I can't blame him. He lost in his home state, and his wife is really not well. Why continue on the most strenuous path you can take in those circumstances?
In a way, knowing when to throw in the towel just makes me want him as president even more. But alas.
i'm also very sad he bowed out. i didn't really think "why not stick it out through super tuesday?" until you said it, but it totally would have made sense, since if he did well he would have had more leverage to influence whoever he will end up endorsing. i would have voted for him on tuesday. now what? it's either inexperience or impossibility (that would be my main man dennis). i just can't go for the cold dynastic calculatrix, not in my own party's primary!
like khiron1416 and ytterbius said, he probably dropped out basically because he knew he had no chance. i think it was classy of him to remove himself from the position of splitting the vote.
I really don't like this "frontloading" of the primaries.
And I sure as hell don't appreciate the media determining the narrative for the primaries to date. (I'm generally one to defend the press, but the overlords have really put their fingers in the pie.)

He would have made the best president, of all the contenders.
