I'm trying to think up the best way to deal with the 45-year-old who keeps running into me at my bus stop.

Today went to lengths I certainly was not comfortable with. As he was about to get off at his stop, he tried to kiss my cheek. The word "no" exited my mouth very quickly. It was at that point that I realized that this man has the very wrong idea about me.

Not that I haven't made it abundantly clear that I am not looking to date anyone. I don't have an accurate count, but I've said at least twenty times in plain language, "I'm not looking for a boyfriend." "I'm very happy single."

I have an idea of what I will say to him the next time I see him (which will happen, it's inevitable). As F would say, I've got to stop being so nice.

Any news on this? I get into these sort of situations too and usually just rearrange things to avoid ppl. *sigh*

I hope you got it cleared up without it getting too messy!

No, I haven't seen him again since this happened. (Thank goodness.) But like I say, it's inevitable. I can't change my bus stop, and I can't change when I catch the bus. So I'm kind of stuck.

I've been thinking about this a lot, though. I have a good idea of what words will come out of my mouth when the next opportunity presents itself.

I'm starting to think you need to invest in a can of pepper spray.
