one of the best TV theme songs ever!

Comcast On Demand has this feature called TubeTime. On it, I found five episodes of One Day at a Time, one of my favorite shows from when I was young. Amazingly enough, it still stands up as a sitcom. It was terribly progressive, too, with having a sixteen-year-old daughter discuss sex so frankly with her mother (at one point saying [accusing?] that the mom will "shack up" with a guy she recently met).
I can't believe it came out in 1975, though. I could have sworn I was watching it in 1979 (about the time I start having television memories).

Date: 2008-01-24 11:48 pm (UTC)CBS aired daytime reruns of the show for three years. From September 1979 to February 1980, it aired at 3:30pm (EST) on the daytime schedule; in February 1980 it was moved; the time depended on the TV market. Most affiliates aired the show at noon or 4pm. In September 1981 it moved to 10am (EST), replacing reruns of The Jeffersons. It was replaced in September 1982 by The $25,000 Pyramid.

That's just sad.
