Actually, if they learn how to make tiny black holes, i want to know what they're going to do to keep it from falling into the Earth's core and slowly eating the planet (a la David Brin).
Bah, every advancement has people who are worried it will destroy the planet. They thought electricity was too dangerous, and they were worried an atomic blast could ignite the whole atmosphere.
Micro black holes could be dangerous, though it's extremely unlikely they'd do more than appear for the tiniest fraction of a second. Maybe we should move future high energy experiments to the Moon.
