Some of it was hilarious. but-- They predicted "wireless telephone" networks around the world. Not bad, not bad at all.

I don't think they realized some of the predictions were at cross-purposes with each other. The automobile will replace horses--but we'll all walk ten miles a day. Right.

I kind of chuckled about that one too. Also, some of the Utopian ideals of yesterday sound horrific to us now.

i.e. horses being extinct (though they did get that only the rich would keep them), the glorification of unnatural foods, and the automobile. I guess coal pollution was their more immediate concern instead of carbon-monoxide from cars. Makes me wonder what unforeseen consequences will manifest from our next great invention?
