According to my calendar, this is the day Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address.

(No matter how much I try, I cannot imagine Bush in that capacity, nor can I see Lincoln in our current situation.)

And Lincoln was a dictator in some respects - because Congress was deadlocked and he essentially took over the entire government. That said, he was responding to a real national crisis, not waging war under false pretenses or removing liberties/privacy for same.

Lincoln founded the Republican Party, and Bush is dragging it down to Hell.

Does Bush like the theater? I think he should go more often. Maybe he could get a box seat.
