That last one is pretty telling. The GOP really is the Creepy White Man party. Not that the Dems are impressing me in any way whatsoever. Are we really going to be stuck with Hillary?

I preface this by saying I'm biased. That out of the way, I follow Daily Kos every few days or so, and recently they had a Fall Rollcall. They asked people to name the candidate they were leaning towards, and the vast majority said Edwards. This really heartened me. I think there is hope yet.

And we're all biased, which leads me to ask you this question since I suspect you dig into politics more than I do:

Is the likely choice of Edwards with either Hillary or Obama as VP the result of him being the only viable white male candidate for the Dems?

Some cynics might say so. Actually, a lot of people seem to be warming up to Dodds. Who knows what's going to happen in the next eight months? I just have a problem with the way the (still conservatively held) media is portraying the Democratic race as a choice between Clinton and Obama only.

Gore may actually enter the race. You never know. That would upset lots o' things.

By the way, did you notice that Alan Keyes has entered on the GOP side? I meant to link to that; I'll try to get around to it later today.
