Aug. 22nd, 2007 10:46 amIn my communist utopia, babies would not be color-coded into gender based on their born sex. They'd all be swaddled in green and their nursuries would similarly be a nice, soothing green color.
Instead of people saying, "It's a girl!" or "It's a boy!" the color green would signal, "It's a baby."
This post inspired by this news item: Boys like blue, girls like pink and there isn't much anybody can do about it, researchers said on Monday in one of the first studies to show scientifically that there are gender-based color preferences.

Date: 2007-08-22 08:46 pm (UTC)She also refused to answer questions about my gender to strangers which resulted in hostility, no matter how gently she explained her 'social experiment.'
And I was not born with intermediate bits.
If you're born with intermediate bits...they just pick one, right? do they do a karyotyping on you? or just hack at you until your main bit is smaller than the regulation 2cm and call you female?
