Monday, I meant to walk to work but woke up too late to do so. That evening, I weighed myself, and I was at 180.

Tuesday & Wednesday I walked. I weighed myself Wednesday morning, and I was at 178.

Thursday I walked. Friday (today) I woke up too late to walk. I weighed myself this morning, and I was at 174.

I think this is the most I've lost in a week in, well, I don't know how long.

I think that people weigh more in the evening, so you should probably stick to weighing yourself in just the evening or just the morning if you want to get a consistent result.

*nod* It was unusual that I weighed myself Monday evening, but I wanted a baseline weight. I'd weighed myself several days before and I was at 180 at that time as well.

Walking rules. Don't be surprised in your seem to gain a little weight after introducing new or more exercise into your routine; muscles weighs a lot ore than fatty tissue.

How tall are you, if you don't mind? You look really tall in your pictures. Like a much cuter Mayday Malone.

Thanks! And no kidding! That sun is unforgiving, especially on the walk home.

i don't know how much water you drink on a regular basis. that helps a LOT. (it's become my primary drink of choice, even though i don't care for the taste, b/c f how much better it makes me feel)

i intend to start hitting the gym again. your walking is inspiring me.

I'm definitely drinking more water these days. I fill up my water cup here at work once or twice a day (16-20 oz). I've been drinking the vitamin water they sell at the store as well as the cafeteria here at work instead of pop. And I drink water at home after I walk home, because sugary stuff just doesn't sound good.

Walking is good.

Rapid weight loss of that sort is usually due to water.

Current best recommendations are that people weigh less often, and use tape measures more.

I realize that some of it has to be water loss. Then I think some of the fat has to be burnt off and some muscle built up. Muscle weighs more than fat. So there has to be some net weight loss going on somewhere.

I will keep my tape measure busy. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Thank you! :) I like the fact that I'm doing something good for my body and saving gas money, too.
