Giuliani's right, but America was never intended to be a pure democracy. Pure democracies persecute the unpopular and legislate themselves free money until they collapse.


Strict constructionist thinking, he said, "goes way beyond any one issue. It goes beyond abortion, it goes beyond gun rights, it goes beyond free speech."
I agree with him here, too, which is why I'm more concerned with a potential justice's opinion on Marbury v. Madison than Roe v. Wade. And it's more important that he not get his way on this matter than that someone pro-choice is elected.
