I had to call my senators and representative today and tell them to get on the impeachment train.
Sen. Voinovich aide: Well, sir you know that impeachment hearing need to begin the House. There's really not much that the Senator can do.
Me: Have you ever heard him speak?
Aide: Of course!
Me: Great orator, wouldn't you agree?
Aide: Yes.
Me: I'd like to see him making a public appeal. Failing that he can do what he has done many times previously, he can write opinion pieces and letters to the editors of Ohio newspapers
Aide: um... I need your zip code sir.
Me: How about my name and full address,I'd like to receive a letter of response.
Thank you for even calling. It's difficult calling Republican representatives at this time, I think, if you're a progressive. It's at least difficult getting through to them.
When I called Conyers' office (despite not being a constituent [only one district away!]), the woman who fielded my call was receptive and let me set the tone of the phone call. Interesting to see that you got pushback.
