As I remarked to yellowmouser this morning, the White House's position on the Libby commutation is, "As long as we have power, we can never abuse it."

And wait! The White House is now trying to artificially end a scandal! That's hilarious! Bush seeks to put Libby issue to rest

It must be frustrating for Bush to see any support he had fade away like a stain treated with Tide. His staff must have a hell of a time keeping all the bad news away from him.
