[livejournal.com profile] timiathan noted this in response to my post about the John Conyers/William Jefferson fuxnup at Fox: US Attorney Tim Griffin Resigns
Following Conyers Request for BBC Documents

Griffin, one of the folks who replaced the infamous Ousted Eight. Griffin, appointed earlier than the other replacements, so special that Monica Goodling specifically excluded him from her testimony.

There is much left to uncover.

That link led me to this explanation of vote caging, which everyone should now know if they want to be politically up-to-speed. These RNC types, I see now how Goodling got so high up in the command structure so quickly (promoted five times at the Justice Department in five years).

Also, Keith Olbermann noted the other night about how terror threats are coincidentally timed when bad news happens for the Bush administration.

I remarked to a coworker today how some people believe that there are no coincidences.

Thank you for the vote caging link. More than anything I'm amazed that I'm still capable of feeling shocked by their audacity.

Oh I believe in coincidences - and the whole correlation/causation argument. And it's helpful to examine beliefs we construct about situations. However, past actions are the best predictor of future actions and this Administration has demonstrated a willingness to lie, evade, and break the law at will. Compared to that, putting out exaggerated or meaningless terror alerts to spike fear and their polling is hardly surprising.
