This was no racist slip-up, although they're happy if people think that, since their core viewers are racist.

Do NOT assume this was accidental. It's clearly an attempt to smear another Democrat.

During the lead-up to the Iraq war I caught FOUR top Neo-cons, including Bush, making the same "misspeak": "We have to stop Obama bin -err, Saddam Hussein". They were clearly, absolutely, completely attempting to link the two names subliminally. And it got a lot of air time. Colin Powell did it, too, by the way, which to me means he was in on it.

Yeah, and great timing, too. As head of the judiciary committee, Conyers is about to explode in the public spotlight.
