They say that abortion, as a rule, is not in the best interest of the woman; that women are often misled or ill-informed about its risks to their own physical or emotional health; and that the interests of the pregnant woman and the fetus are, in fact, the same.
And what about the emotional risk that the woman won't have the nerve to go through with an adoption once she gives birth, sticking her with a kid she has no business raising?

Feminists for Life, the group that counts Jane Sullivan Roberts, the wife of the chief justice, among its most prominent supporters.
And he's not recusing himself from abortion decisions?

That state’s law, currently being challenged in federal court, requires women seeking an abortion to be told that the procedure will terminate a “whole, separate, unique, living human being,”
That's pretty far from an uncontroversial view. I think most people who agree with that would consider themselves pro-life. Personally, I would say "living" is the only part of that that's true.
