I was accused of a crime that, in our state, carried a penalty of up to three consecutive life sentences. The night before they decided whether or not to press charges, I visited the home of the guy who was at the time my best friend and said sad possible-goodbyes. That night, it was a glorious full moon, and while waiting alone for the train, I threw my hands to the sky and thought to the goddess, "Into Thy hands I commit my spirit." I paced a few times, looked down, and found a beautiful three-inch wide silver brooch, in a pattern very like that of your icon consisting of intertwined dogs instead of cats. I left a notice at the train station that it was found, and no one ever called.
It disappeared a couple of years later when I yelled at a taxi driver.

I still miss it.
