I have always felt a little weird about the gay men being unable to donate situation. I understand that's where the epidemic spread rapidly at first, but at this point, the disease isn't specific to a certain group. As a woman with many hetero/homo partners, I'm clearly more of a risk than a man with one homo partner, yet I'm allowed to donate because I haven't had sex with a man who's had sex with men (at least to my knowledge). It's weird.
