the funniest thing about carter saying this is that from our perspective in history, it has become obvious that Nixon wasn't that bad, he did a lot of horrible things, true, the secret bombing of cambodia, the plumbing operation at democratic headquarters, but overall, he wasn't nearly as bad as either Jimmy Carter or the current occupant, George Bush.
So it's a bit ironic here, Jimmy is the other contender for worst ever. I agree with him of course, Bush is the worst, but Jimmy, he's the second worst.
Jimmy Carter and George Bush by the way had identical ratings during their worst times in office, an exact 28% approval rating.
