Since when were heads of regimes hunted down and assassinated after a conflict? UK reports had Saddam's teenage grandson still alive, even after all the bombardment, when the house was finally taken, but shot dead anyway, while "making a last stand".

Even on a military level, this makes no sense. Who better than his sons would have info on Saddam's whereabouts.

Did you see the Amnesty reports on torture of prisoners by the allies? Like Vietnam, there's no good way out of this mess.

Amen! The Bush machine does this shit just to play to the jaded home audience that wants their pres to produce a kick-ass TV show for them. Never mind legality, never mind whether the shit works for practical purposes, it's all about getting re-elected and getting booming public support so that they can enact their real agenda of stealing all the money from the poor and destroying the govt.
