Have you read up on the toxoplasmosis parasite's gender-specific effects? Men tend to become more sullen, stupid, and prone to self-destructive behavior, but women not only become more likely to have multiple sex partners and dead-end relationships, they tend to be judged as more attractive by the opposite gender. IIRC, infected women also become more generous and slightly more daft/ less able to perceive/ solve problems, but don't quote me on that.
