I might be the only person I know who is annoyed at this whole early Daylight Savings Time thing. It just seems really unnatural to have it before winter is even over. It's just wrong.

Anyway, remember to set your clocks ahead tonight.

Of course, I wonder why we even *have* daylight savings time. I mean, if the clocks screw you out of daylight, then just flippin' change your time zone fer cryin' out loud. Oh, well. wot-EV-ah.

You're not alone. This law was apparently enacted by people who think kids should wait for school buses in the dark.

I won't be angry if the new legislation has its desired effect, however if it doesn't (as I fear it won't because it's too little an effort too late) then I will be exceedingly annoyed. I've already put in about 20 hours this week on calls and other related things just to make sure we're going to be DST compliant. I have conference calls to attend tonight (which means little to no sleep on top of losing the hour).

However, I don't have a problem with DST beginning before winter is over, particularly since DST has been divorced from anything agricultural for so long. And as a denizen of dreary Seattle, I'm looking forward to well-lighted evenings!

I'm annoyed that DST even still exists. I had previously assumed it was just another law that no one ever took off the books. Now I realize they actually still think it's doing someone, somewhere, some good...
