Hillary is such a disappointment to me. She's a woman and a democrat, and I'd like to be excited about her, but she takes stupid positions on stuff to try to reach the middle-of-the-road voters (at least that's my interpretation of why she does it), and it just alienates true liberals.

augh.

I was going to post something to that effect, but now I'll just say "Ditto".

I'm tired and probably not reading that correctly... what is so wrong with what Mrs. Clinton said?

The implication is that she's never going to admit that she was bamboozled by faulty intelligence and thus made a mistake in voting to authorize the use of force in Iraq.

I, for one, am very happy that Richards has entered the race. I'm kinda sick of the Obama and Clinton show.

She *HAS* admitted that voting to authorize the use of force was a mistake.

And which Richards are we talking about? Apparently I'm behind again. I'm still waiting for Edwards to get more press coverage.

She hasn't admitted that her vote was a mistake. She has refused, as the article makes plain. So, she is taking responsibility for her vote, claiming it, and moving on. Which means she doesn't want to say she was wrong.

And why not? Well, the folks in [livejournal.com profile] ljdemocrats think it's because she wants to have the same 'unitary' powers Bush thinks he has. I tend to agree.

(And I think [livejournal.com profile] vrax meant Richardson.)

Okay, so she doesn't say it was a mistake, but she does say that she wouldn't make the same vote, based on the information she has today.

And thank God for Richardson.

Richards is Gov. of New Mexico, former energy secretary and UN rep.

Perhaps she has admitted it, apparently it wasn't a loud enough admission.

Richardson. With an 'on'. :)

Also, as I said to [livejournal.com profile] novapsyche, "Okay, so she doesn't say it was a mistake, but she does say that she wouldn't make the same vote, based on the information she has today."

Yep, Richardson. Thanks for the correction.

I seriously wish Hillary would just bow out of the running so that no more money is wasted campaigning against her.
