I read an article about the Hardaway controversy that referenced the LJ community ohnotheydidnt. It took me a while to dig through all that... stuff to find the entry I was looking for. (Wait, there's an earlier one.)

But in doing so, I came across news that at least one person on my friends list would want to know: Chris Cornell quits Audioslave amid conflicts

One of my favorite and simultaneously most embarrassing moments was the day I met Chris Cornel (and various other musician-types with nice abs), way back in [OHMYGODIAMOLD] 1990? 1991? In the spring, when a small group of us were following Soundgarden, Faith No More, and godforsaken VOIVOD around on tour. Yes, I really did used to be young enough to be able to FOLLOW A BAND, at least around Michigan and Ohio. We were in K-Zoo, and got there really, really early, and when Soundgarden's bus pulled up I worked up the nerve to go knock on the door. If my friend Eric wouldn't have gone with me, it would have been even worse because when Cornell opened the door of the bus I COULD NOT SPEAK. It was terrible. My friend got our cassettes (yes, CASSETTES) signed and I stammered something that may have resemebled "hello" if I'd managed to actually open my mouth.

And that is my useless, unnecessary, totally boring Chris Cornell story for the night. I will also add (just to be clear HOW embarrassing this was) that I was wearing a YELLOW AND BLACK spandex skirt with docs. Really. And my hair was something btn red and orange. And I weighed like 85 pounds soaking wet.

Ah, the early nineties.

Saw the best concert ever at Wings, Soundgarden for their Superknown tour. They were ON that night. Can't even remember who opened, but they opened with Jesus Christ Pose and just kept on getting better.

I think I wore t-shirt and jeans. ;)
