I have a strangely luddite distrust of GM crops and frankly, given the record and policies of companies like Monsatan, have little reason to change that.
oops, more water wars coming up. Many farmers in Australia downstream of cotton farms complain about cotton farms sucking up all the water, and it is similar in developing countries (just look what cotton farms did to the Aral sea). And if it becomes a food source as well - well it will be a good utilisation of scarce resources, but more water will then be needed as countries can say its now a food crop and grow more.
