Today's reality shows are analogous to game shows in the '70s. Doesn't anyone remember how much of a cultural phenomenon those were?

I can't say I remember them, per se, but I can see how they were a big deal. They're still on Nickelodeon or TV Land or some channel in the middle of the night. (It's been over a year since I've had TV... forgive me for not remembering!)
