That's interesting about Hep C. My brother is resistant to taking the traditional meds because of the awful side effects, so I know that part is certainly true. One side-effect they didn't mention in the article is psychosis (but maybe that's included in severe depression). Taking meds that will save your liver and prolong your life but which will drive you into a raging psychosis doesn't sound like a great trade-off to me.

My father died almost a year ago (October 18th) from complications stemming from his Hep C. There have been some rumors among family members that he stoped taking his med because he couldn't get high while taking them.
