I think I've seen all his theatrical releases from She's Gotta Have It on (no TV or video only stuff) except for Jungle Fever, Get on the Bus, and She Hate Me (which I hadn't even heard of until I went to IMDb).
I probably like Do the Right Thing and Malcom X the best. Inside Man was pretty damned good too.
School Daze (on my 100 best of all time list), Do the Right Thing (almost on my 100 best of all time list; honorable mention or something), Summer of Sam (which was bloody horrible in every possible way), 25th Hour (eh), his short from Lumiere and Company (which I do not in any way remember), and pieces of Clockers (I don't blame Lee, I blame Richard Price).
I have seen She's Gotta Have It (excellent), School Daze (very good), Do the Right Thing (excellent/incredible), Mo' Better Blues (good), Jungle Fever (not bad), Malcolm X (excellent/incredible), and Girl 6 (very good). I obviously have a lot of films on his filmography that I need to see: Get on the Bus and 25th Hour spring immediately to mind.

Well, I don't know what I would recommend to you, not knowing what kind of movies you generally like.... Do the Right Thing was his breakout film (and features music by Public Enemy). If you like Denzel Washington, then maybe Malcolm X would be good (although it's lengthy).
