It's quite a bit longer than it needs to be, IMO. But I did read a few pages, and I think it's important that Democrats do SOMEthing, and do it in a big way. This is an opportunity, and we have to take advantage.
Democrats need to follow K.I.S.S., Keep it simple, stupid. I'd recommend a law and order stance, since the Republicans are now the spendthrifts who don't care about the rule of law right now.
I actually agree with the article that the Democratic party needs to embrace a wide agenda, a vision. When I hear "law and order" I think of the bungling War on Drugs and somesuch.
Rule of law, yes. We need to push the fact that Republicans have broken the law.
But also I feel that appealing to the nature of American citizens to sacrifice and come together for the common good is exactly what the Democratic party needs to do.
