What is up with this song "I'm in Love with a Stripper"?

Maybe I'm showing my age.

I've never even heard of the song, which truly shows my age :-0

At 26, I have become a grumbly old man.
What type of song is it? Is it one of those "urban" songs that is pseudo hip-hop?

I'm not exactly sure how hip-hop is distinguished from pseudo hip-hop, but yes.

Every year there is an increasing number of crappy songs released. The one that won the best original song at the academy awards last weekend was clearly the worst, and (in my opinion) an attempt at making the academy still seem reasonably liberal, eventhough Brokeback didn't win for Best Picture.

Brokeback Mountain was a good film, but so was Good Night, and Good Luck. I don't know if I would have voted for Brokeback Mountain if I were in the Academy.

As far as the song goes, well, I didn't really pay attention to that segment. But yeah, I just don't know how I feel about contemporary hip-hop. I am showing my age.

Good Night and Good Luck didn't win, either.

Exactly. Perhaps I just need to see Crash, to determine for myself whether it really was the best picture of the five nominated.

does it have a radio edit? because i was at the gym and hearing a song like "I'm in love with a dancer" and the word dancer was pronounced so that i heard stripper. i paid it no mind.

Interesting. Maybe they do have an edit, I don't know.
