Approaches to rape have been tainted by society's general ambivalence towards sex.
I'm glad it's being reapproached, and I do not see any reason to assume misogyny.

at least their sentances for rape and dv are longer than ours -_-
I don't think I understand shortening of sentances for violent offenses. I understand empting american prisons of non-violent drug charges, depending on the drug.
