"they say homosexuality violates their religious beliefs"
I was hanging out with my friend Garie (who also happens to be a professional comedian) and he was seeing people protesting for religious reasons. Garie was brought up by very religious people, in fact they were the religious leaders in his town, and something never sat right about those protests. He saw a sign that said "God Hates Abortion", and "God Hates Homos" Then one day he saw a sign that said, "God Hates" and suddenly it all clicked for him. It made sense that these people were reacting the way they were because God hates. It was the first time in his life that he had even considered the idea that God hates, but there it was on the placard. "God Hates". Yes, that protester changed his life and truly showed him the darkness which lives within our souls. So you see, protesting does make a difference.
nice. what is this crap about "your safety and your right to exist (or reproductive options, or pagan section at barnes and noble) violate my religion."?
We live in a society that teaches us that, rather than learning to be tolerant, people should change their ways so that we don't have to be uncomfortable.
Spoiled rotten, pouty, self-centered...basically my 2-year-old nephew is more mature.
