I get a call from a woman asking if we're still hiring. I say yes and ask if she's in the area and if she's done this type of work before. "Oh yes," she says, and tells me that she has three years' experience.

She wants to know if I have time today for an interview, but I am booked up this afternoon. We schedule an appointment for Friday morning, and then I ask for her name. She tells me, but I can't quite hear her. She repeats herself. I look at my calendar and say, "Ms. Xxxxx, didn't you call last week and schedule an appointment?" Dial tone in my ear.
