Under the voluntary program, which begins in June, travelers would have to submit fingerprints and allow officials to conduct in-depth background checks, including in some cases providing access to personal and financial histories, to prove they aren't terrorists.
Yep, you heard it here, folks. This is the start of guilty until proven innocent. So much for the American way of life.
Oh, that went out the window no later than the OJ Simpson trial, which proved that the only thing you need to get a verdict of "innocent" is enough money.
“And those that aren’t won’t participate and that’s fine,” Tiller said. Asked if he would enroll in the program, Tiller chuckled and said, “No, I don’t fly enough.”
How is it the equivalent of pig lipstick? I'm just not following the logic. Personally, I have no problem with the program. If people are stupid enough to sign up for it, more power to them. I wouldn't pay money to have someone else tell me that I'm not a terrorist. But I believe in freedom of choice, even for the stupid.
Also, what makes it insane? Or did you just mean that YOU would never sign up for it?
