Meth mouth, from what I understand, is from the teeth grinding that comes with the territory. The danger with syrup is the acidity and that syrup is likely to stick to tooth enamel.

i heard, and I have no source for this, that persistent meth use actually chemically changes your enamel, turning your teeth soft and grey. I've seen the worn down grey stumps on young people, and I know of older people who've ground their teeth until they cracked from stress, and it looks prettey different.
