It says at the end of the article that the Bureau of Land Management "concluded a year ago that oil and gas exploration in the northeastern section can be conducted with 'minimal impact' on the area's wildlife." What, this pro-business, pro-oil administration said this? Wow, a shock.

I know Gore's White House would never have done such a thing. But, donchaknow, if the Rapture is coming, we can rape the earth without a care.

Yeah, but so far as I recall it's not up to the Bureau of Land Management (whateverthefuck that is) to decide this. Isn't it up to Congress?! Or has Bush found yet another way to sidestep the separation of powers?
