He's definitely not someone you should know, and gets no attention in the mainstream. He's a radio talkshow host and 'investigative reporter' from Texas, who's been saying the same thing for about a decade now. Ten years ago, though, he seemed like a very ridiculous libertarian one step away from starting a militant militia, taking craziness about how the government wants to take away our guns and our rights. But gradually reality has crept over to his corner and now he seems like a bastion of truth.
If he's known for anything, it's sneaking into and video taping ceremonies for the first time ever at the Bohemian Grove, and he preaches how these people want to turn the world into a prison planet. Hence his website http://www.prisonplanet.com/
His news compilation is worth paying attention to -- it's a place I've found a lot of stories I wouldn't have otherwise...that Basra incident from a few months ago, for example. He's the kind of guy you don't want to be right, but it looks more and more like he is.
you read daily kos, so you've probably already seen the story about the Dartmouth student who was visited by the feds for requesting "The Little Red Book" via inter-library loan. For an academic paper he was working on.
The direction this country is heading in really troubles me...
