Pioneering Comedian Richard Pryor Dies | Richard Pryor, Iconoclastic Comedian, Dies at 65

You can get an idea of how I came to my sense of humor if I tell you that my family used to listen to Richard Pryor on album. Often.

(We had a weird dichotomy, actually: Pryor and Cosby. That might go further to explain.)

I might have to go out this afternoon to try to find one of his albums on CD, so as to honor his memory with some deep, wholehearted guffaws.

At my house, it was just Cosby.

Do you remember the different songs everyone had for their go carts?

Go Carts is good, but growing up I think my favorite was the Chicken Heart.

There have been many times after a really spooky horror flick, I've considered smearing Jello all over the floor

Richard Pryor was more than a great comedian. He changed the way people think.
