I think there should be a law against playing Christmas music in public buildings. For one thing, it's specific to one religion, but the more important reason is that it's FUCKING ANNOYING! If you have to have music playing, have Mozart or something similar, not insipid crap!
I don't mind the Xmas music too much, since I can always turn my hearing aids off. ;-P
I do, however, draw the line at having Xmas stuff on sale before Hallowe'en. Yes, the local Target already had some of its early-holiday Xmas stuff up by the week before Halowe'en. And not just the "buy your lights now so you can put 'em up before it snows" stuff, either. Ornaments, candles, wreaths, and stockings could be found, too.
Stupid marketers. Stupid shoppers for buying into that crap.
