I applaud said mom. The tone of the article indicates that the author is appalled, which hardly leads to an objective discussion, but I think that's a great solution. And as the last quote states, now the mom needs to look for and reward good behavior, now that there's actually a chance of finding some.
I have to say I think this mom is one of the coolest moms ever. People make it sound like she did something wrong. But she showed she cared. And she stood there with her daughter. She didn't just leave her there. Serious props.
I have mixed feelings about the mother/daughter story. On one hand, she clearly cares about her daughter and is involved in her life. On the other hand, shaming is generally a really bad strategy for dealing with anyone, but especially kids.
The nasal spray thing is kind of annoying, actually. There are a lot of women with libido issues, but how much of that is attributable to our rush-rush way of life? The solution to stomach upset (unless it's an actual medical problem) is to fucking EAT BETTER not to take a pill. The solution to improving women's libidos is to give them time to relax, not give them a nasal spray, for chrissake.
They'd probably get the same benefits from exercising with a lover and smelling each other's fresh sweat.
