WASHINGTON - Pentagon officials say white phosphorous was used as a weapon against insurgent strongholds during the battle of Fallujah last November, but deny an Italian television news report that it was used against civilians.

They must be growing those insurgents pretty young then, since there are pictures of small children burned alive with their clothes still intact.

And I really worry about the internet thing. This could be orchestrated intentionally to cut off the American public from external information sources. Imagine not being able to read foreign presses...

I heard about the Italian documentary on Democracy Now last week- when the gov't was still denying ever using it there.
Why am I not surprised that they're now admiting to using it once they realized they would no longer be able to keep it under wraps..
