People have been giving me links lately, and I have not been posting them. I've been negligent.

Broadcast chief quits after 'conservative' probe -- not great, but it's a start (apparently the person in line to replace him is in the same mold)

So, as my resident black friend, what do you think of her website? :p

Clearly the feminists haven't actually bothered to READ the deal, but instead just responded to the idea of a woman and money in the same sentence with their usual knee-jerk reactions. The WOMAN gets to choose who she sells to. The WOMAN gets all the money. The WOMAN still gets to live in the house that her probably rich new husband just paid her for. She has every single bit of power and control in this thing. She does nothing she doesn't wish to do. And she's even admitted that the marriage part of the deal is clearly non-binding and was done more as an advertisement and dating ploy than anything else. This is probably the most pro-feminist move I've seen all year. It's not slavery, it's not prostitution, it's a rather brilliant publicity stunt that might actually find her a rich husband whom she can actually love. And if it doesn't, guess what, she still owns the house! She hasn't lost a thing except time.

There were a few reasoned responses on that thread, as well as a totally off-topic rant about homosexual rights, but the majority seemed to just look for something to be angry about. It seems that every time I poke my head into that community the story's the same. Those women aren't angry about anything specific, but they're sure looking for something to be angry about!

did you read the same comments I did? There were a lot of women who had similar reactions to yours, or at least not stark-raving mad reactions.

Such as:

Yeah, they seemed a bit divided in there. To be honest though, I found myself more caught up in the homosexuality discussion.
That angry lesbian made me laugh.
For some reason, I cant help but be reminded of a blind man at a firing range.

It's definitely gotten more traffic since I last read it, but the phrase "commodification of women" was used more than once, and has nothing at all to do with what's going on. As I said, there are sensible responses there as well, but some of the respondents clearly just want a cause to be angry. And it seems the lesbian discussion has taken over the thread completely!
