Date: 2005-09-04 07:26 am (UTC)Im not exactly a supporter of this administration, but Ive heard alot of personal criticism of Bush in response to this and to be honest I think it is sick and petty.
There is a distaster going on, people are suffering and all I hear around me is people trying to find ways to use this as fuel to propagate and support their political ideas. It just seems to me like there are more important things happening then personal politics.
I really feel for Kanye West, it must suck living in a world where everybody is against you because you are black.
He must be really frustrated to believe that aid hasnt been super fast because there are black people in the South.

There is no love lost between me and this Administration, so this fuck-up does nothing to change my opinion as far as that goes. What it does is really open my eyes to a fact in the starkest of terms. Bush, through his administration's ineptitude and negligence, has ripped off the still-healing scab that had grown over racial tension in this country. Now it's pink and bleeding for all to see.
